A meeting on “Infections and Cancer" will be held on January 23 and 24, 2009 at the International Agency for Research on Cancer, 150 cours Albert Thomas, in Lyon, France. It is organized in the framework of the activities of two networks on Infections and Cancer: (i) Cancéropôle Grand-Est (CGE) / Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ) Joint Program in Applied Tumour Virology, and (ii) Cancéropôle Lyon Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (CLARA) ProCan Axe II Infections & Cancer.
This meeting will include the three following sessions:
Diagnosis and therapy of virus-induced cancers
Molecular mechanisms in virus-induced carcinogenesis
Virus-mediated strategies to escape the immune surveillance.
A final program will be sent at a later date to all participants.
Regarding accommodation in Lyon, the International Agency for Research on Cancer has negotiated preferential rates with four hotels (see list below). Please feel free to contact them on behalf of IARC (Dr Tommasino).
Note that although there is no fee for this event, registration is required for logistic purposes (please fill in the form below).

Some posters will be selected for oral presentation in each session.
